Ash Wednesday, again
My Lenten observations, as longtime followers may recall, tend to have to do with taking on tasks rather than giving up pleasures.
I have already shared that I have been unable to write since the passage of Hurricane Dorian; too many ideas have been welling up, ideas fuelled by anger and disappointment.
This Lent the pledge is to write something once a day. Not everything will be worth sharing widely. But each piece of writing will be part of an exercise to get past the block and exercise—for the benefit, I hope, of our nation—the gift of writing that was given me.
Forty days of writing. Establish, Lord, the work of these hands.
